Purchased the aluminum transmission case and steel gear set. When assembled the gears bind. I put the gears in my stock trans case and they work fine. I put the stock plastic gears in the aluminum case and they work fine. Put the metal gears back in the aluminum case and they bind again in the same spot of rotation. I think the gear lash is insufficient for the metal gears. They are too close together. Any ideas?
